Zero-Compromise Laboratory Testing & Batch Traceability

In industrial polymer compounding, inconsistent pigment quality causes process downtime, clogged extruder screens, and color drifting. Our dedicated testing laboratories verify every batch before dispatch.

Certified CoA with Every Container
Full Raw Material Traceability
Spectrophotometer ΔE ≤ 0.8 Tolerance

Comprehensive Analytical Testing Battery

Every production batch undergoes six sequential quality gates before being released for packaging.

ASTM D 2244 / ISO 787-1

Spectrophotometric Color Matching (ΔE ≤ 0.8)

Each production lot is measured against agreed master standard swatches in both masstone (100% full shade) and tint reductions (1:10 and 1:20 with TiO₂) using calibrated spectrophotometers to ensure ΔE ≤ 0.8.

DIN EN 13900-5

Filter Pressure Value (FPV) Testing

Compounded into standard polymer carrier and passed through a 14-micron screen pack on an automated capillary extruder to measure backpressure rise in accordance with DIN EN 13900-5.

ISO 13320 / ASTM D 185

Laser Diffraction Particle Size (D50 / D90)

Continuous laser granulometry verifies tight, unimodal particle distribution between 0.5 µm and 2.5 µm with 325 mesh sieve residue strictly below 0.10%.

EN 71-3 / FDA 21 CFR

Trace Element & Heavy Metal Screening

Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP-OES) testing ensures absolute compliance with European toy safety EN 71-3, CONEG packaging limits (< 100 ppm total), and FDA purity mandates.

DIN EN 12877-2

Thermal Stability & Dwell Testing

Laboratory injection molding machines evaluate color shift and thermal stability at stepped dwell times between 200°C and 350°C in high-heat engineering thermoplastics.

ISO 787-3 & 787-8

Water Soluble Matter & Moisture Analysis

Loss on drying at 105°C and electrical conductivity testing of aqueous extracts guarantee ultra-low soluble salt content and sub-0.10% moisture in specialty grades.

Advanced QA Facility

Analytical Equipment & Quality Control Standards

Our Hathras plant operates dual testing laboratories equipped with benchtop spectrophotometers, laser particle analyzers, and wet-dispersion testing rigs.

RS Pigments quality testing guide and laboratory spectrophotometer testing setup

Spectrophotometer CIELAB Color Verification

Precision digital color matching ensuring ΔE ≤ 0.8 against client master standards and full EU regulatory conformance.

Ultramarine blue dispersion and soluble salt extraction testing

Wet Dispersion & Soluble Salt Verification

Standardized extraction tests ensuring <0.1% moisture retention and zero heavy metal bleed in food-contact polymer grades.

Certificate of Analysis (CoA)

Batch-Specific Analytical Certificates Dispatched with Every Order

Whether you receive a 1-metric-ton sample trial or multiple 40ft sea containers, RS Pigments issues an authorized Certificate of Analysis linked directly to the production batch number stamped on each bag.

Colorimetric Coordinates: Certified CIELAB color values (L* lightness, a* red-green balance, b* yellow-blue undertone) and batch color tolerance (ΔE ≤ 0.8).
